As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged youth, Maya Foundation hosted a heartfelt community lunch for Madrasa students.
We believe every child deserves care, encouragement, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. Through our initiatives, we hope to inspire these young minds to become educated, successful professionals and responsible leaders.

Maya Foundation is honored to support these wonderful children by helping them gain admission to a school in Bhatara, Dhaka, and providing educational support for an entire year.
We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn, dream, and build a better future—regardless of their circumstances. Education is not simply a pathway to a career; it is a doorway to hope, confidence, and opportunity.
Maya Foundation has taken another meaningful step to help four beautiful children – Nibaron, Rumana, Jashim, and Mizanur, who faced the challenges of visual impairment. Today, they have a renewed opportunity to see the world, dream bigger, and look toward a brighter future.
For us, this is more than a medical procedure—it is about giving a child the chance to see their family’s smile, experience the beauty around them, and imagine a future filled with possibilities. 📺
Our commitment to making a difference continues through our ongoing efforts to help children overcome preventable blindness.
We carefully sought out families who were struggling desperately and had no means to afford the treatment their children desperately needed. We did everything we could to make their surgeries possible, and I was personally there to ensure the children received the care they needed and, most importantly, had the chance to see the world with new hope.
In the spirit of the holiday season, Maya Foundation wanted to bring a little extra joy and happiness to children in need.
We organized a special toy drive for ten children, carefully selecting gifts based on their individual Christmas wish lists. Our hope was simple, to make their holiday a little brighter and put a genuine smile on their faces.
We are grateful to everyone who helped make this small but meaningful gesture possible.
On behalf of Maya Foundation, my family and I had the privilege of celebrating Eid with the beautiful children cared for by our partner, Utsho Bangladesh. We wanted to give them a day filled with happiness, laughter, and love. We played ping pong, chess, ludu, and other games, shared their favorite Eid dishes and treats, and enjoyed their beautiful songs and poetry.
For children who had nowhere else to go for Eid, we simply wanted them to feel loved, remembered, and celebrated. Their smiles touched our hearts deeply.
Maya Foundation proudly organized “Gaan & Adda,” a special evening of music, conversation, and community at the Bangladeshi Community Center, bringing together talented artists and musicians for a memorable night.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the performers and musicians who generously gave their time and shared their incredible talent with us. Thank you for filling the evening with beautiful music, warmth, and joy.

Maya Foundation partnered with Utsho Bangladesh to launch a meaningful initiative, “Giving Children Hope for the Future,” dedicated to creating better opportunities for children in need.
As part of this initiative, Maya Foundation sponsored three children for one full year, providing comprehensive support for their education, healthcare, food, accommodation, clothing, and recreational activities.
Hyder Husyn supported Maya Foundation and truly believed in our vision of helping those in need. We are deeply grateful for his generosity, encouragement, and support. His kindness strengthened our mission and inspired us to continue making a difference in the lives of others.
In September 2014, Bangladesh experienced severe flooding that affected thousands of families across Kurigram, Gaibandha, Bogra, Sirajganj, Munshiganj, Shariatpur, Madaripur, Faridpur, Jamalpur, Tangail, and many other areas. The devastating floods damaged crops, roads and communication infrastructure, educational institutions, homes, and other essential facilities.
As part of the relief response, Maya Foundation supported Rotary Club of Dhaka organized a humanitarian relief effort to provide essential food, clean water, and other necessities to families affected by the floods.
Maya Foundation proudly presented “Concert for Kids,” an exclusive musical evening dedicated to supporting orphaned children in Bangladesh, at Michael Power St. Joseph High School in Toronto.
This special event was our humble initiative to lend a helping hand to children in need. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all the artists, performers, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who attended the show and stood beside us.
Maya Foundation held a press conference in Toronto to officially kick off our “Concert for Kids” event. The gathering brought together our dedicated volunteers, performers, and members of the media, all coming together to support this meaningful initiative for children. The attendees included Shamsul Arafin, Alvia Giash, Kowsheek Mahmood, Anwar Kamal, Shami Sattar, Tanjeer Alam Rajeeb, Anzar Karim, and Tanvir Siddiqui.
Maya Foundation is honored to have the support of Oscar-winning Nafees Bin Zafar, former Principal Engineer at DreamWorks Animation. His work contributed to major films including Kung Fu Panda, Transformers, The Croods, Madagascar 3, and How to Train Your Dragon 2.
Nafees kindly visited the Maya Foundation booth at Hart House, University of Toronto, and supported our vision. We are deeply grateful for his encouragement and belief in our mission.
Maya Foundation met with a dynamic young team of Aspire to establish a Community Outreach partnership.
Aspire aims to spread positive achievements of prominent Bangladeshi’s in Canada & around the globe and provide networking opportunities for professionals and graduates.

Shirin (11 years old girl) has had no vision in her left eye since 2011. Her mom is struggling with her younger brother after his father left them for another woman. They could not get any operation done for not having a certain amount.
Maya Foundation took her to the Ispahani Islamia Eye Hospital for Cataract and Retina operation. We also assisted Shumon (2.5 yrs old boy) who needed expensive eyewear & Rahim (13 yrs old boy) who needed a Cataract operation. We pray for their vision so they can see our Beautiful World with their eyes.
We forget fast what just happened few months back. Still there are people at Savar who are in dreadful condition, hence we aimed whatever we can to help them. We worked our Savar project with the fund we have raised from “Made in Bangladesh” Dhaka event.
We aided 5 people with the medicine and assisted another 5 people building their stores so they become financially independent. I wish We had more fund then we could have lend our hand to more people. Thank you very much for all of your support and believing in us.

Maya Foundation distributed portion of the funds raised from ‘Made in Bangladesh’ event in Toronto to the Rana plaza Savar victims. Along with the funds raised from Toronto, Maya Foundation also raised donations in Dhaka. We are happy to update you that we provided medicines to 8 victims who needed treatment. We also provided grants to 5 disabled victims which will be used for income generating activities that will assist them to become financially independent. We will be continuing providing assistance to the people who are still in need and who cannot reach to us. On behalf of these victims, Maya Foundation Thanks to each and everyone of you for your generous contributions. Please be proud and loud that your money is being well spent on a worthy cause.
Maya Foundation officially began the Savar rehabilitation project in Bangladesh with the funds raised from ‘Made in Bangladesh’ event. The Funds collected from the concert was $3,500, thanks to your generosity. Special Thanks to Shakti Foundation for helping and supporting us on the process.
